The App
Overtime HQ ("the App") is a personal overtime, paid-detail, scheduling, and retirement-planning tool for law-enforcement officers. It is provided as-is, without warranties of any kind.
Estimates are not official determinations
Calculations in the App — including overtime pay, pension projections, retirement estimates, and year-end projections — are estimates for personal planning only. They are not official determinations by your employer, pension system, or any government agency. Always verify figures with your timekeeper, payroll department, and pension system before making financial or retirement decisions.
Your responsibilities
- You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you enter.
- You are responsible for complying with your employer's policies regarding overtime, paid details, and use of payroll systems.
- Pension formulas and contribution limits change; keep the App's settings current and confirm figures with official sources.
Acceptable use
You agree not to misuse the App, attempt to disrupt its operation, or use it for any unlawful purpose.
Your data stays with you
The App stores your records on your device and needs no account. You are responsible for backing up any data you care about (for example, using the App's CSV export). We cannot recover data deleted with the App.
Shared calendar
The shared calendar is optional and needs a sign-in. When you use it:
- Post only real overtime slots, and only what you would put in a group text. Don't post sensitive operational details, locations you aren't allowed to share, or anything your employer's policies don't allow.
- No harassment, threats, impersonation, spam or offensive content, and no misuse of other people's information.
- Owners and team leaders decide who is on their calendars and can remove or block people. Anyone can report a slot or a person from the slot's page.
- We review reports and may remove content, calendars or accounts that break these terms, without notice.
- Slots are deleted 60 days after their date. You can delete your shared calendar data at any time in Settings.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the App's provider is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the App, including decisions made based on its estimates.
Changes
These terms may be updated from time to time. Continued use of the App after changes are published constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
